What is Wilson Reading Certification?

For a professional to have Wilson Reading certification, they must complete a 3-day introductory workshop, master's level coursework, and a 1:1 year-long practicum that is supervised by a Wilson Trainer. All LD Expert reading tutors are fully certified through Wilson.
Is online dyslexia tutoring effective?

Yes! LD Expert collects continuous data about the effectiveness of our programs, and we are proud to say that all of our students experience growth - even up to 4 grade levels!!
What are some characteristics of dyslexia?

Orton-Gillingham based program such as the Wilson Reading System, which is what LD Expert uses, are scientifically proven to be the best treatment for Dyslexia.
Are there any apps for dyslexia?

Yes. There are some apps that work well for students with dyslexia such as Learning Ally and Read & Write (chrome extension). However, explicit and individualized instruction delivered by a certified professional will get you more bang for your buck when it comes to seeing progress with your student.
