About Katy
Katy Insley is an Illinois State-Certified Elementary/High School teacher with over 20 years of experience working with at-risk students in the elementary and high school setting. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s degree in Literacy Instruction: Reading Specialist, and endorsement for High School English Language Arts. Katy’s family history of dyslexia and experience with students struggling in the classroom expanded her passion for literacy research and brain development. Katy is a Wilson certified dyslexia practitioner and is currently working on her Wilson dyslexia therapist certification. Her enthusiasm for reading and learning is reflected in her lessons and resources.
